Privacy

A clear line between your file and our business.

The private editor and advertising-supported public site use separate origins, repositories, and deployments.

Private editor

Selected files, rendered pages, OCR output, detected values, redaction coordinates, and exports remain in the browser at app.freeredact.com. The editor keeps document state in memory for the active session and clears it when you choose Clear, reload, or close the frame.

Public website and advertising

Public pages, including the outer /redact shell, may use Google AdSense after the required consent choices. Advertising code never loads inside the cross-origin editor iframe. The browser prevents the public page and its advertising scripts from reading the editor DOM or memory, and FreeRedact does not send document information across the boundary.

Public-page analytics

FreeRedact uses Google Analytics on public content pages to understand aggregate traffic and site usage. Google may process standard page, device, and network information under its policies. Analytics is not loaded inside the private editor or on the outer /redact shell, and FreeRedact does not send filenames, OCR text, document hashes, images, finding values, coordinates, or editor activity to Google Analytics.
